Los Angeles (AP) —Brandon Boston Jr. set a career record of 27 points and five three-pointers, with the Los Angeles Clippers defeating the Boston Celtics 114-111 on Wednesday night against just over .500 teams. I lit the fire.

The night Paul George was driven aside with his injured right elbow, Boston electrified his teammates and most of the crowd with a three-pointer that beat the half-time buzzer. A rookie from Kentucky scored 18 points in 14 minutes.

Marcus Morris has added 20 points to the Clippers. Ivica Zubac and Terance Mann had 10 points and 10 rebounds, respectively.

The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Dennis Schröder added 19 points and 8 assists, and Josh Richardson got 17 points from the bench.

The Clippers blew most of the 21-point lead in the third quarter when the Celtics fell within four.

Boston scored five points on a 13-4 run, opening the third and extending the Clippers lead to 76-55. This is the biggest thing in the game.

The Celtics reacted with a spurt of 20-4 and drew within four. Tatum scored 9 points, curbing Eric Bledsoe’s sales and screaming from the green fans in the crowd.

The Clippers led 87-78 to 4th place. After scoring 8 straight points in Morris’ basket, they pushed the lead to 15.

But the Celtics aren’t over yet. They escaped 10 in a row to get closer to 102-97.

The last three and a half minutes turned into a three-point shootout.

Reggie Jackson and Luke Kennard hit the Clippers for three consecutive seconds, returning the lead to 11 points. Schrader and Richardson did the same for the Celtics and put it in within 5 again.

The Celtics succeeded in challenging the Out of Bounds Call and took ownership of the Celtics with 1:29 remaining. After Schrader made a mistake, Tatam gained an aggressive rebound and tilted the ball to bring the Celtics to 108-105.

Morris then calmly sank three pointers from the left corner.

The Clippers were three-quarters of the free-throw line in the last 12 seconds after the Celtics closed within one. Tatum missed the possibility of tying a three with a buzzer.

Boston hit the first three in the second half of the Clippers and seemed more surprised than anyone else. Morris grinning and celebrated with him before making his own three.

Boston had a trash talk in the second quarter that caused a technical foul. The third time he was asked for a foul after his right elbow hit Grant Williams’ face.

Boston finished 9 out of 13 from the floor and made all 4 free throws.
