Chappaqua, NY (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton released a video on Wednesday saying he is recovering after being hospitalized in Southern California for six days to treat an infection unrelated to COVID-19. Stated.
Clinton, 75, who arrived at his home in New York on Sunday, was happy to be back home and said he was “very impressed with the amount of support he received during his hospital stay last week.”
The former White House Chief of Staff said that Clinton had a urological infection that had spread to his bloodstream, but was healing and fell into a potentially life-threatening septic shock. He said it never happened.
Clinton also thanked the doctors and nurses at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California.
For years after Clinton left the White House in 2001, he has faced health fears. In 2004, he underwent four bypass surgeries after experiencing long-term chest pain and shortness of breath. He returned to the hospital for surgery on a partially collapsed lung in 2005 and transplanted a pair of stents into the coronary arteries in 2010.
He responded primarily by incorporating a vegan diet, which reports weight loss and improved health.
