The Bishop Arts District in Dallas has a fun new opening from Exxir Hospitality. They seem to be behind 99% of the fun new opening of Bishop Arts these days.
It is called Mermaid Rover & Champagne Room, And it opens at 308 N. Bishop Ave on the upper patio of Paradiso. This is also the concept of Exxir hospitality (see ??).
According to the release, the mermaid will open on July 12th.
This release describes it as a kitsch-intimate space with plenty of outdoor seating, evoking the atmosphere of South Beach and Boca just in time for the hottest summer nights.
The kitsch includes the following design features:
- Antique chandelier illuminates a scalloped aquamarine bar
- Vintage shell accessories
- Sculpted mermaid and dolphin table
It doesn’t sound kitsch, it sounds cool.
Food and beverages are served by the Paradiso team, including Executive Chef Nick Harry and Beverage Director Ilgie Resinos (NoMad LA, Bestia)-pronounced e * lou * g. InstagramI’m not sure if pronunciation hints can be collected more easily than his name itself? For example, should “g” be “gee” or is “guh” like a hard G sound?
Features a raw bar
- Grapefruit and lavender Mignonette sauce oysters
- Drupe and tuna crudo
- Butter poached lobster tail
- Consomme of crab and melon
- Hamachi Crude
A sea-inspired cocktail combination is served from three swirling built-in engraved glass dispensers.
And definitely, trendy orange wines, foams, rosé and other wines.
Open from 3pm to 10pm on weekdays and from noon to 10pm on weekends.
Exxir hospitality He also owns Bishop Arts’ favorite Tejas, Paradiso, botanists, and the Good Companion, a pop-up space that is now home to an athletic brand called Denovo Active.
