Washington (AP) — Key points of President Joe Biden’s plan to increase COVID-19 vaccination among federal officials and encourage more Americans to fire:
— Federal employees need to prove their vaccination status.
— Fully unvaccinated people wear masks at work, physically distance from other workers and visitors, undergo regular COVID-19 testing, and face official travel restrictions need to do it.
— The requirement to disclose vaccination status also applies to federal contractor employees working in government facilities. The White House is drafting plans to extend vaccination requirements to all contractor employees.
— Biden has ordered the Pentagon to investigate when and how to add COVID-19 shots to the list of vaccinations required for military members.
— State and local governments are encouraged to provide a $ 100 reward for vaccination. The program can be paid with funds from Biden’s COVID-19 Relief Bill.
