The Kind of High That You Feel

A Delta 8 THC high is not the same as a regular marijuana high. However, there are some similarities between the two that you might have noticed. Although it has THC, it only contains 0.03% of Delta-9 THC. This is the reason why you wont get the same high as marijuana. You might be wondering what kind of high you get or if it will be the same for everyone. We’ll explore these common questions we get, along with if it matters the type of product that you use.

The high that most users experience is a more mellow type of feeling; which is very similar to marijuana. However, it tends to be a more clear-headed type of high. Also, some users have reported that they don’t experience the same anxiety that marijuana would give them. This of course can vary depending on the person’s tolerance and experience with THC. A huge reason why some have stopped using Cannabis/Delta-9 is because it gives them anxiety. Cannabis can be very strong and can make the person using it feel like they are not in control. Some might enjoy that feeling but for others it can be hard to deal with.

The reason why this happens is because Delta-9 THC binds our CB1 receptors in our Endocannabinoid System (ECS). These receptors are in charge of regulating several functions in our body. The cannabis then binds them causing different reactions for different people. If your body doesn’t produce high amounts of endocannabinoids it can feel a bigger high from cannabis. However, Delta-8 THC lightly binds the CB1 receptors causing a different type of high. You’ll still might feel that euphoric feeling from THC but it might not be as intense.

A Different Experience For Everyone

Although the experience from Delta 8 THC might be different for everyone there are some similarities. There are a lot of things to factor in, such as your experience with cannabis, or how you process it. Your ECS plays a big role in determining the type of experience you’ll have as stated earlier. If it’s your first time trying it, your experience will be different from someone who has experience with cannabis.

First-Time Users

When we say first-time users, we’re referring to someone who has never gotten high off marijuana. This can be a little nerve racking because you don’t have anything to compare it to. Although you might have tried other products like CBD, this is a little more intense. It is THC, but it’s not cannabis, Delta 8 THC comes from Hemp – not marijuana. Therefore, it won’t produce the same high because it’s not the same cannabinoid from marijuana. The THC that we use comes from hemp, and its chemistry has a double bond in the 8th carbon bond – not the 9th. It’s little differences like this that produce a unique high – making it less potent.

Experienced with Cannabis

If you have experience with cannabis you’ll notice some similarities. Although, if you’ve built a tolerance to cannabis it might not hit you as hard. This is because Delta-8 THC tends to be a less potent type of extract. So, if you’re looking for something that is more mellow then this is the product to try. What you might enjoy is the lack of fogginess that you can get. You’ll probably not feel as “baked” but this might be a bonus. Another great thing about Delta 8 is that it comes in different strains just like cannabis. These strains include – Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid – Also, some products contain Terpenes.

Different Products to Try

There are many Delta-8 THC products to try and the list is continuing to grow. Most products that are available in CBD are also available for Delta 8. However, there are some exceptions such as Topicals and flowers. This is because Delta 8 is an extract, and the Hemp plant doesn’t naturally produce high amounts of Delta 8. The most popular products that we carry are Delta 8 THC Cartridges.

Similarities Between Delta 8 and Delta 9

First of all, both Delta 8 and Delta 9 are THC so they both can get you high. Also, they both bind receptors which are responsible for regulating certain body functions and pain receptors. Just like CBD, many of the products that are available for Delta 9 are available for Delta 8. This is because they are cannabinoid extracts that can be made into different products. Although Delta 8 is still yet to become as popular, many products similar to Delta 9 are being produced. However, just like Delta 9 can show up on a drug test, so can Delta 8 THC.

Do expect to feel chill or active due to the type of strain you take. The same Terpenes that are used in Delta 9 are also used in Delta 8 THC. This is known as the entourage effect; It’s the idea that when cannabinoids are combined with inactive cannabinoid compounds they come together synergistically to increase the effects. Although this theory has been researched there is still more to be proven. Aside from the flavors the Terpenes provide, it helps enhance the strain profile to add more chill, energetic, or mellow vibes.
