A tornado warning is in effect for the entire stateline through 8pm Thursday night.
The main timeline for the storm is from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with the main threats being wind and hail, but given the close proximity of the low-pressure system and atmospheric spin, several tornadoes are possible. It cannot be ruled out. The storm will move ahead of the cold front that is already causing severe storms in southeastern Iowa and western Illinois.
Going into the day today, there was some uncertainty about how the atmosphere would recover after the morning showers and storms. It was able to build up early, making it more likely that some severe storms would occur later in the day.
Keep an eye on the weather this afternoon and into the evening and be alerted in multiple ways!
