Chicago (CBS)- Officials said the train was stopped on Sunday night on the Metra BNSF line near Lagrange Stone Avenue after the train struck a person.
Shortly before 10 pm, Metra BNSF posted a tweet stating that train # 2026 had collided with a pedestrian and all departure and arrival trains had stopped moving near the station.
A significant delay is expected.
Trains 2026 and 2027, which arrived in Chicago at 9:40 pm and were scheduled to arrive in Aurora at 12:00 am, were invalidated due to the incident.
